Hi
First on the agenda for today's post is Vogue 8870. I really like this pattern and since I had made 2 for myself, I thought it would be nice if my Mom had one in her closet too. I chose a nice crepe to make hers with and I changed the way the skirt was made at the bottom. I also snuck in a little side slit for walking ease.
Since my Mom is a very modest lady, I decided that I would make her a little light jacket to match her dress. We had to improvise the belt because I am the smarty pants who didn't bring the belt with me, but Mom did a quick save with a belt from her closet and paired it with the cutest ballerina slippers.
Now on to the Giveaway. Today is a very special day for me. I have been blogging for one full year! There are not enough words to thank my blogging friends for your support. I am so appreciative of all that we have done this past year. So in order to sew my love, I want to do a GIVEAWAY. The prize is a $25.00 gift card from Joann Fabrics.
In order to win the prize for this GIVEAWAY just post a comment in the comments box and a winner will be drawn and announced Saturday, May 17.
Thank you for joining me today and Thank you for a wonderful year. Until next time...
Lots Of Love

See the slit that I snuck in...Hehehe. |
Intermission while we look at the bird's nest. Mom had to show me this one because the birds normally build their nests in the back yard, but this one wanted his nest in the front. |
I am going to hit her shoe closet really soon!!! I love these too. |
